Given the pace of change in business today, it is essential that everyone learn to thrive on change, not merely cope with its consequences. Managers must learn to manage their own reactions before they can effectively help others move through change.
Employees often experience business changes that they have little or no control over, believe have a negative effect on them, and cannot modify. While responses to these kinds of changes vary across individuals, emotional reactions, even to positive changes, are a natural human response. However, these reactions may become problematic if people get "stuck" in the change process, unable to move forward in order to become fully productive in the new situation.
Participants examine their reactions to organizational change and identify ways to personally thrive on change. Participants also learn about the emotional cycle of change, what employees want during major organizational changes, and how to help others move forward with change.
Managers will:

Learn about three supporting forces and three obstacles to thriving on change
Understand the emotional cycle of change and its effect on productivity
